How do I book a ride

Download the Coastal Rides app and log in with your email or phone number.
On the home screen select “Get Started” to learn more about the service you're riding with. To get yourself set up, set your home and work addresses as favourite locations for quick trip access. Don't forget to add a credit card to your profile.
Back on the home screen select “Where are you going?”, then select your origin and destination. If you have not entered your payment information in the Payments section of your Account, you will have to enter payment information before being able to book a trip (where pre-payment is required).

What locations do you serve and what are your hours?

We operate in British Columbia, Canada. We have drivers based in Sechelt, Gibsons, Comox Valley, Campbell River, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Tofino, Ucluelet, Squamish and Fort St. John. We offer long distance trips across Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast as well.

On the lower Sunshine Coast, we have drivers online from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. weekdays and until 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday. We will also do earlier and later pickups if booked in advance.

In the Comox area, driver will cover from trips to the first flights out in the morning with pickups starting as early as 3am and from the last flight into YQQ after midnight. Advanced booking is recommended for early and late pickups.

In Tofino, drivers plan to be online from 7:30 am until 2am daily weekdays and 11am until 2am on Weekends. Trips to/from Ucluelet are also available.

In Port Alberni we have drivers available for on demand service from 6am until midnight, or until 2am on weekends. Or schedule in advance for any time.

In the Sea to Sky region, we have drivers available for local service in Squamish as well as transfers between Vancouver and Whislter.

Driver availability can vary so check the app for an up to the minute pickup estimate.

How to Book a Group Event or Charter with Coastal Rides

14-Passenger Shuttle Service (Sunshine Coast & Comox Valley Only):

8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: $175 per hour
8:00 PM – 10:30 PM: $225 per hour
10:30 PM onwards: $260 per hour
All rates are subject to a 5% GST and a 15% gratuity. A minimum booking of 2 hours is required per shift.

9-Passenger Shuttle Service (Sunshine Coast Only):

8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: $165 per hour
8:00 PM – 10:30 PM: $200 per hour
10:30 PM onwards: $225 per hour
All rates are subject to a 5% GST and a 15% gratuity. A minimum booking of 2 hours is required per shift.

6-Passenger Shuttle Service (all areas):

8:00 AM – 9:00 PM: $135 per hour
8:00 PM – 10:30 PM: $145 per hour
10:30 PM onwards : $150 per hour

Airport service

Airport pickups are available from various airports we service including, YBL in Campbell River, YQQ in Comox, YCD in Nanaimo, YAZ in Tofino, YXJ in Fort St. John, YVR in Vancouver, YXX in Abbotsford, YYJ in Victoria. We also do pickups and drop offs at the Seaplane terminals on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast Advanced booking is recommended for early and late and to get to your flight on time.

What is the fare?
