# How do I book a ride


1. Download the [Coastal Rides app](https://coastalrides.page.link/?link=https%3A%2F%2Fsparerider%2Flaunch&ofl=https://coastalrides.ca/faq/&apn=com.sparelabs.platform.rider.coastal&isi=1536787590&ibi=com.sparelabs.platform.rider.coastal&efr=1&utm_source=email&utm_medium=link) and log in with your email or phone number. 
2. On the home screen select “Get Started” to learn more about the service you're riding with. To get yourself set up, set your home and work addresses as favourite locations for quick trip access. *Don't forget to add a credit card to your profile.*
3. Back on the home screen select “Where are you going?”, then select your origin and destination. If you have not entered your payment information in the Payments section of your Account, you will have to enter payment information before being able to book a trip (where pre-payment is required).
